I have had the pleasure of knowing Amanda ever since we attended Barry University together, studying photography. It was a huge honor for Amanda to pick me of all the talented photographers she knows to photograph her beautiful Kingston, Jamaica wedding. It was really great getting to know her fiance David (such an awesome dude!) and all of their families (wonderful and hospitable people)! Amanda and David are both from Kingston, so it was really only a destination wedding for myself, as well as some of their guests.
Amanda and David were married in the gorgeous Hope Botantical Gardens and Zoo in Kingston – it made for one heck of a backdrop for a ceremony. The reception was also held in the garden, under a grand tent provided by Tent City Rentals. The wedding day was kept running smoothly by Monique of MSW Events, a super awesome and talented wedding planner. I also had the great pleasure of working along side Clive of Digital Video Concepts – these guys know their video! Amanda found her gorgeous dress at Bliss Bridal Boutique in Kingston.
Amanda and David clearly surround themselves with amazing friends and family; the toasts and speeches that were given were moving, hilarious, tear jerking and thoughtful, all at the same time. Everyone danced the night away, laughing and having a great time. The next day, the newlyweds, the bridal party, and both of their families ventured into in the Blue Mountains outside of Kingston for a relaxing post wedding brunch, hosted by Amanda’s family at a killer bed and breakfast with a jaw-dropping view, Stepping Stones.
I had the time of my life in Jamaica photographing Amanda and David and getting to know them even better than I had before. I can’t wait to get back to Jamaica and photograph another wedding!
